Shell Pointe Salt Marsh

12″ x 16″ plein air oil painting on a canvas panel

On day three of our painting trip Phyllis, Beth and I headed to Swansboro.  We were looking for the Croatan National Forest, but found Shell Pointe.  It is being developed as a retirement community.  We were given permission to paint.  I painted this scene from their fishing pier.

  1. I especially like this one because of the water. Well done!

    • Thank you. The water was done with a combination of a palette knife and a brush.
