This is actually a back view the the Cooleemee Plantation House.  It was built in 1853-55 in the shape of a Greek cross.  This painting  is one of my pieces in the August “Preserving Places” exhibit at Rail Walk in Salisbury, NC.  Preserving Places is a painting show/sale of LandTrust of Central NC sites by Plein Air Carolina.  The artists are donating 40% of sales to the LandTrust of Central NC.  The exhibit is from July 31st to August 30th.  You can meet the artists on Saturday, August 9th, 3-5pm and Sunday, August 10th, 1-3pm.  Rail Walk is at 409 N. Lee in Salisbury.  We are open Thursday-Saturday, 11-4pm.  Hope to see you there.
