Lavender in Bloom

Lavender in Bloom 9x12

9″ x 12″ Oil on panel

The lavender is in bloom.  Members of Plein Air Carolina were invited to paint at a local farm.  It was very hot, but I knew I couldn’t miss it.  I did enjoy a cool lavender lemonade while painting.

Rusty Tractor

Rusty Tractor11x1411″ x 14″ Oil on a RayMar panel

Plein Air Carolina painters are preparing for a LandTrust of Central North Carolina fundraiser at Rail Walk Studios & Gallery.  The exhibit will be the month of August.  Last Friday we painted at a dairy farm that is part of the LandTrust.  I was drawn to this old tractor abandoned in a field.  This Friday we will be painting at “Frog Hollow.”  With a name like that it’s got to be good.

This is my second painting from Plein Air Carolina’s paint out last week at the canola fields.  Got to love the brilliant yellow in those fields.
